🥚 Farm-Fresh Eggs from Happy Hens
Here at Mama’s Garden, we raise our laying hens from the time they’re just a day old! We bring in about 100 chicks at a time and care for them as they grow into healthy, happy hens. It takes about six months before they lay their very first eggs — called pullet eggs. “Pullet” simply means a young hen under a year old, and those first eggs are smaller and extra special — a sure sign that the girls are getting into the swing of things!
Each morning, we open the coop doors and let our hens roam freely on pasture — scratching, snacking on bugs, and soaking up every bit of sunshine the PNW gives us. As evening falls, they’re tucked in safely to keep them protected from local predators.
Every day, we gather fresh eggs straight from the coop and stock them in the farm stand for you. If you happen to stop by and the eggs are all gone, we are sorry!
During the winter months, our girls take a natural rest and slow down on laying, but come spring and summer — they’re back in full swing, keeping the stand full of beautiful, delicious eggs.
